Vici Ramunee - Page 2

Taking up her lightsaber, Vici prepared to defend Veni and herself from the huge beast. Vici even took a swing at the creature before she realized that it was Jedi Master Willm Lwyin, there to accompany her to the entrance to the cave. During the last part of the journey to the cave, Willm Lwyin asked Vici questions concerning her homeworld of Alderaan, as well as her family's business of l'lahsh distillery. Soon the trio found the entrance to the cave, and Vici's test began. With a few final words of encouragement, Willm and Veni left Vici to begin, telling her they would meet her when she came out.

Once in the cave, Vici was first thrust into total blackness, forcing her to use her senses through the Force to make her way through the doors that led her deeper and deeper into the maze that made up the cave. Vici eventually made her way into a room that tempted her with images of food that were meant to appeal to Vici's immense hunger and distract her from her main mission. Also, Vici was bombarded with images of a corpse, a skeleton draped in the exact same clothes she wore. All of the images Vici confronted in the Cave were meant to draw upon Vici's fears and self-doubts, and though she hated to admit it, Vici's confidence was beginning to waver.

After Vici made her way through more rooms meant to test her mind and skills in the Force, Vici found herself in a circular room of mirrors. Vici searched the room for an exit, but found none. Also, Vici was beginning annoyed that her foe had not revealed him or herself to her yet. To top it all off, the mirrored room that Vici was trapped in was being slowly flooded with water. As the water level rose as well as Vici's annoyance, Vici drew her lightsaber calling out to her unseen foe. Vici's anger became more intense as she resolved to cut her way out of the room if she did not get some kind of answer. However, before she could do so, Vici discovered who the foe actually was, herself.

The mirrors offered Vici an image of what could happen to her if she gave into her anger and her fears, and with that Vici understood. Reaching out to touch her reflection, Vici's had passed through the mirror as if through water. In the new room that Vici found herself sat Mistress Tannis. Tannis congratulated Vici on the successful completion of her test and sat with her as they discussed what Vici faced in the cave. Thinking back about all the rooms and tunnels she passed through, Vici identified what she had faced, impatience, physical limits, fear, greed, and anger. Vici had passed her final test as a Jedi Knight and went on to defend peace and justice throughout the galaxy.
